Samos Island Greece!

Samos Island is located in the East Aegean Sea. North West is Chios Island, South West Ikaria Island and on the South Patmos Island and the Dodecanese. To the East of Samos is Turkey and Asia Minor, from which Samos is separated by The Mycale Strait which is only 1650 meters wide at its narrowest point.
The population of the island is 34000 inhabitants it is divided into 2 municipalities: East Samos and West Samos. Its capital is Samos Town. Samos is a mountainous island and it has two high mountains. The rocky Kerkis (or Kerketeus) with a height of 1443 meters and the verdant Ambelos (or Karvounis) with a height of 1160 meters.

In ancient Greece Samos Island was a rich and powerful state. A popular tourist attraction is the Tunnel of Eupalinos , a tunnel of 1,036 m (3,399 ft) length running through Mount Kastro, near Pythagorion, built in the 6th century BC to serve as an aqueduct. The tunnel is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List along with the nearby Pythagorion and Heraion of Samos, and it was designated as an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 2017.
Samos is the birthplace of the Ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras after whom the Pythagorean theorem was named, the philosopher Epicurus, and Aristarchus of Samos, the first known astronomer to propose that the Earth revolves around the sun.

The Samos Airport has a daily connection with the capital Athens and weekly with Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Lesvos and Crete. During the summer period there are daily connections through charter flights with the most European countries: England, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Check Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and all the Scandinavian countries.
The island of Samos has two major ports Vathi & Karlovassi. During the last years a new port has also been constructed on the area of Malagari.
There is a daily connection with the port of Piraeus, Cyclades and Dodecanese Islands and several times a week with the islands of North Aegean.
Samos is also daily connected with the port Kusadasi of Turkey.
